Worker Charged with Stealing Money and Customer Identities

A Chester County woman is being charged with taking out fraudulent loans in the very store she worked in. Lisa Clayton was the manager of the Cash Express in Henderson when she reportedly racked up 20 different charges of identity theft and forgery. The report showed Clayton would take out various loans under the names of some of their customers. Alleged victims said they started getting calls from debt collectors and did not know why. They soon found out that multiple people had been victimized since July. “There were people pouring in off the streets trying to pay their loan and turns out they had two loans on top of those and the people were asking is this your signature and they were saying ‘no, can you explain this to me,” said alleged victim Lori Bommer. Cash Express’s owner Garry McNabb told 7 Eyewitness News the victims are not being held responsible for the loans. Clayton is currently free on $10,000 bond.
