A Madison County grand jury indicted a Jackson man accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend, car jacking a couple and shooting an officer, last fall. The grand jury ruled that there is enough evidence against Tray Chaney, 18, for him to stand trial on seven different charges including first degree murder and aggravated robbery . On October 11 of last year, Chaney is accused in the shooting death of Daphne Kenner, 18 and injuring her friend before car jacking a couple and leading police on a chase. Chaney will return to court Monday.
