KY Prison Employee Fired for Inmate Relations

An employee of the Kentucky State Penitentiary has been charged with third-degree rape after police say she had a relationship with an inmate at the maximum security prison. Kentucky State Police Trooper Chris Anderson says the relationship between 41-year-old Lori S. Holsapple and the inmate was consensual. Anderson says that Holsapple’s status as an employee of the prison, she was charged. Holsapple is scheduled for arraignment Sept. 17 in Lyon Circuit Court. The Kentucky State Penitentiary is an all-male prison is in Eddyville. State troopers declined to identify the inmate.
