Master Chef Semifinals
Jackson home cook Josh Marks is so excited about the semifinals of the MasterChef reality show that he cheered on the phone. Tuesday night on the Fox network show, he faces Christine Ha, a blind graduate student from Houston, Texas, and Becky Reams, a food photographer from Stilwell, Kansas. On Sept. 10, judges Gordon Ramsay, Joe Bastianich and Graham Elliot reveal the winner of $250,000 and a book deal. Semifinalists create dishes to showcase their personalities and passion for food and prepare a dish featuring a pair of chicken, lamb or frog legs. Marks says Jackson fans plan a watch party at The University Place Sports Bar and Grill on Lynch Street next to Jackson State.
