Louisville Official Honored at Whitehouse

A Louisville Metro Government official is being honored at the White House. Ted Smith is Louisville’s chief of economic growth and innovation. The White House has named him one of thirteen Local Innovation Champions of Change who are committed to creating a more open and innovative government through entrepreneurship. He will be honored on Tuesday. The White House said in a statement that Smith works to make local government a platform for innovation and entrepreneurship through open data and social impact economic development. The Champions of Change program features a different sector each week with groups ranging from educators to entrepreneurs to community leaders recognized for their work.
