Two Men Sentenced in Marijuana Charges

Two men convicted of marijuana charges related to a raid on a Jackson car lot have been sentenced to more than five years each. Johnny Earl Course and David E. Jones were sentenced Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Jackson related to a raid on Paradise Auto Sales in south Jackson. Jones was sentenced to more than seven years. Course was given a sentence of just over five years. They were arrested in February along with Jeremy Lee Stambaugh, owner of Paradise Auto Sales. Stambaugh was sentenced in August to three years and three months. Stambaugh and Course pleaded guilty, but Jones went to trial. He was convicted June 6. Federal court records say a raid on the business uncovered four-hundred sixteen pounds of marijuana.
