ALAMO, Tenn. -The Little General Store, located on the corner of Cavalier Drive and Egg Hill Road was broken into Wednesday morning. Thieves broke a side window and dragged an ATM machine and a safe out. A source tells 7 Eyewitness News the loss could be close to $10,000. “They actually took the safe outside of the building, they ripped the ATM from the floor. They were there for a pretty good while doing some work,” said Sgt. Allan Gilliland of the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department. The store is located near the sheriff’s department. According to a source, this is at least the fourth Little General store hit recently. “It’s surprising you don’t think it would happen around here, but it does,” said Crockett County resident Jamie Reed. The break-in occurred when the store was closed and no one was hurt.
