Man Killed in Crockett County Crash

CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn. – A Crockett County man is dead after a crash early Wednesday morning. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the wreck happened just before 3:00 a.m. near the intersection of Egghill and Powell Roads. The driver was identified as Brian Williams, 43, of Alamo. Investigators said he was driving his vehicle westbound on Egghill Road when he apparently had trouble negotiating a curve. Williams was killed when his vehicle struck a tree just beyond the right shoulder of the road. Investigators believe speed was a factor in the crash. Williams was not wearing his seat belt.
