New Charges Filed Against Football Coach

JACKSON, Tenn.-The suspended JCM football coach suspected of preying on a young girl has been re-arrested and charged with much more serious crimes. Anthony Anderson, 25, was re-arrested Tuesday afternoon at his Jackson apartment. Police said the new charges against Anderson are statutory rape by an authority figure and sexual exploitation of a minor. Officers said he identified himself to a 17-year-old girl as a coach at her school. Anderson was in court just four days ago where he was charged with solicitation involving a 15-year-old girl. Jackson-Madison County school leaders said Anderson is suspended without pay as an assistant football coach at Jackson Central-Merry High School. Police believe he met both of his alleged victims online. Investigators are still determining if there are more victims. Anderson was released on $40,000 bond on Saturday, the same day officers received this new complaint against him. Anderson’s bond on the new charges was set at $100,000
