JMCSS Young Artists Honored

JACKSON, Tenn.- Some budding artists are being honored by the Jackson-Madison County School System. Works of the young artists from across the system were chosen for display by art teachers in the system. About 100 drawings, paintings and sculptures are on display at the central office. School leaders said the talent of the young people is amazing. “I think it is important for the kids to showcase their talent to let them know they can do other things in school and art is a big important part of it,” said Julia Pope of the Jackson-Madison County School System. The art remains on display at the Board of Education office on North Parkway until May 13.
