Knoxville police find dead man in homeless camp

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Knoxville police have found a dead man in a tent at a homeless camp.

WATE-TV (http://bit.ly/Yd1bcc ) reported police responded to a disturbance call Tuesday night in the city’s downtown area. They found an intoxicated man in the woods behind a business who wanted to fight them. Charles Matthew Rose was arrested on charges of resisting arrest and public intoxication.

In searching the area, officers found a tent with four people inside it. They discovered one of them – a man – was dead. His identity wasn’t immediately released and a medical examination will determine how he died.

The other three in the tent were charged with assault and theft.
