Section of S.R. 188 to be Closed for Bridge Replacements

CROCKETT/GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn.- Starting Thursday, state road 188 at the Gibson-Crockett County line will be closed so a bridge can be replaced. The existing narrow structures were built in 1960 and 1975 and will be replaced with new box beam bridges. The new bridges will also feature wider lanes. The five bridges serve as overflows for the North Fork of the Forked Deer River. The project is expected to be complete by October 2014.
