Shots Fired at East Jackson Apartment Complex, One Injured

JACKSON, Tenn.-Shots were fired late Wednesday night near an east Jackson apartment complex that left one person injured. Jackson police said they received dozens of calls from witnesses hearing multiple shots being fired near Royal Arms Apartments on North Royal Street, just before 9 p.m. Witnesses told police there was an exchange of gunfire between a man and a woman. Investigators said when officers arrived they found two cars with multiple bullet holes. Officers were then called to a nearby apartment where they found one person shot in the foot. That person was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital and as of late Wednesday evening their condition was unknown. Investigators said they are looking for two suspects. One was a black man dressed in all black. The second was a black woman with blonde hair.
