Two Arrested in Connection with Wednesday Shooting

JACKSON, Tenn.- Jackson police have arrested a man in connection with a Tuesday afternoon shooting along Belmont Avenue. But they also arrested the man he may have been aiming for. Police said B.J. Ward, 21, has admitted he fired a handgun into the air after an argument with Courtney Bethea. Bethea, 27, was arrested for violating his probation. Bethea is serving 10-years probation after being convicted of attempted second degree murder in 2011, involving a shooting on the campus of Lane College.
