Blake McMeans Promise Tour Stopping at JMC High Schools

JACKSON,Tenn.- Spring is here and that means the beginning of prom and graduation season when many high school teens will be celebrating. Some of them may chose to celebrate with alcohol. That is why Blake McMeans is making several stops at area high school this week with his “Promise Tour” to talk with students about the dangers of drinking and driving. WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News was at Liberty High School Tuesday as he spoke to students. McMeans himself is now confined to a wheelchair and wants high school junior and seniors to know that making the decision to not drink and drive can literally change their lives and futures. “I believe making it real through seeing what happened to him is really gonna affect the decisions they make,” said Leslie Booker, a 12th grade teacher. The Blake McMeans Promise Tour is being presented by the Community Anti-Drug Coalition of Jackson-Madison County.
