Charges Filed Against Man in Inmate Death Case

GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn.- A Gibson County inmate has been charged with beating a fellow inmate to death last month. According to the TBI, Antron Tyus of Humboldt now faces an additional count of reckless homicide. Investigators said on April 12, Tyus and Ivory Pewitte got into a fight inside a jail cell. Pewitte suffered a fatal head injury. Tyus’ bond on this new charge has been set at $80,000.
