Investigators Combing Through Evidence After Home Invasion

STANTON, Tenn- A Wednesday night home invasion in Haywood County has investigators looking for two men, considered armed and dangerous. According to Haywood County Sheriff Melvin Bond, five people were at a home on Fredonia Loop in Stanton, when two men came into their house with guns. The robbers got away with more than $2,000 and three cell phones, before running away. “It’s the type of thing that never happens in that area,” said Sheriff Bond. Residents said Stanton is a safe community and they were shocked by what happened. “It’s really surprising,” said Delilah Burks. ” I’ve been here two years and nothing has ever happened.” Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact the Haywood County Sheriff’s Department at (731) 772-6158.
