Adamsville Prepares for Championship Run

ADAMSVILLE, Tenn. – December 7 is the only calendar day that matters to the Adamsville football program. That is the day of the state championship, and Adamsville has no plans on settling for anything less. After a runner-up finish to Friendship Christian in the state championship last year, the Cardinals are hungry to return back to that big stage. The simplest way to achieve that goal is by winning every game. “Our kids do a great job of buying into what we teach. If we keep doing that, we’ll be fine in trying to get towards that goal [state championship],” said Head Coach Brandon Gray. Although the team’s eyes are fixed on achieving their long-term goal in December, it is the little goals that will help them reach that promise land. “We tell the team our immediate goal is first downs. First down after first down,” explained Gray. Adamsville first step towards their lofty expectations is at home on August 23 against Chester County.
