Grass Fire at Henderson Golf Course

CHESTER COUNTY, Tenn. — A fire call at a golf course in Henderson had firefighters busy for close to 45 minutes on Tuesday afternoon. Right before 2:30 p.m., a call went out to the Chester County Fire Department in reference to some grass on fire on the Chickasaw Golf Course. Fire officials say that a man was working on the property when the grass caught on fire. It burned a couple of acres of the grass near the club house and the golf cart area, but there was no property damage to either, or any damage to the actual course. Firefighters were able to get it out by 3:11 p.m. The site is currently not open so there was no one there to evacuate.
