Deadline to Sign Up For Affordable Healthcare Nears

WEST JACKSON — With the deadline to sign up for Affordable Healthcare coverage coming up at the end of the month, many West Tennesseans still have questions and haven’t yet signed up. To help those with questions and to help those signing up to understand the process, West Tennessee Healthcare has a navigator in place to assist them. The sign-ups in Jackson-Madison County have increased over the past couple weeks in anticipation of the deadline. Health experts say the increase may be due to the website’s easy navigation. “A lot of people are getting enrolled now that the system is finally working, and a lot of people, of course, probably on their own, along with our assistance,” Adrian Winfery, certified insurance navigator said.
