Martin Police Execute Drug Raids

MARTIN, Tenn. – Numerous arrest and search warrants were executed across Weakley County in various drug raids Tuesday morning. Martin Police, along with state and federal agents from the ATF, FBI, DEA, THP and TBI served the warrants on various individuals and locations. According to a news release from Martin Police, the drug operation has been the result of a multi-jurisdictional undercover investigation over the span of approximately two years. Teams of officers began the raids at approximately 6 a.m. The operation has reportedly resulted in the arrest of several individuals believed to be known gang members. Martin Police say the investigation began due to an increasing number of drug and gang related incidents which have occurred in Martin and the surrounding area.
