Man Accused of Holding Up Store for Beer, Cigarettes Charged

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — A man accused of entering a store and stealing beer and cigarettes with a stolen shotgun from Madison County has been formally charged. Kilpatrick has been charged with burglary, theft of property, vandalism and felon in possession of a firearm. The surveillance footage from a grocery store in Tipton County showed the suspect was armed with a shotgun and then fled the scene in an awaiting four door silver sedan. Kilpatrick and a juvenile were interviewed and admitted to their roles in the store burglary, domestic incident and theft of the shotgun from Madison County. Kilpatrick remains in custody awaiting his Tipton County general sessions court arraignment.
