Blue Pinwheels Planted for Child Abuse Awareness Month

WEST JACKSON — Another local organization is showing its support for the start of Child Abuse Prevention Month. Healthy Start and Healthier Beginnings office planted a garden of blue pinwheels in their yard to recognize the month and draw attention to the work they do. The pinwheels are located on Skyline Drive close to hospital. “Hopefully the people will drive by [and] see the pinwheels,” Valerie Haynes, supervisor of Healthy Start, said. “The children will love it, and it will stimulate the conversation in the community.” Pinwheel will be put out at five other locations around Jackson.
