Union City Clerk Cited For Allowing Minor to Buy Beer

UNION CITY, Tenn. — A Union City clerk is in trouble after she allegedly sold beer to someone without asking for any proof of identification, last Friday. Officers were conducting alcohol compliance checks at area stores. During that time, a subject under the age of 21 was able to purchase a 6-pack of beer without providing an ID at 3 J’s convenience store on Reelfoot Avenue. The cashier was later identified as Carla Harrison. Harrison was issued a misdemeanor citation for unlawful sale of alcohol to a minor.
