Athletes Participate in Special Olympics

NORTH JACKSON — Some of West Tennessee’s athletes competed in the Olympics Friday morning. The 2014 Annual Special Olympics in Track & Field kicked off on at University School of Jackson. [Athletes get to] be with their peers, to learn how to do teamwork, to cheer each other on and just exercise and be a part of a team,” Randi Ezelle said, Area Director of the Special Olympics. About 300 athletes from seven West Tennessee counties competed in 10 track and field events.
