Historical Bemis Mill Needs Investors

BEMIS, Tenn. — The gears are turning, albeit slowly, to save the historical Bemis Mill. According to Jackson Major Jerry Gist, a committee has been formed that will focus on being the liaison for the community to help save the mill. Mayor Gist said there was a meeting with Bemis Historical Society members, attorneys, planners and people from the state historical society earlier this week. One of the main roadblocks to save the mill is money; investors have all passed on the opportunity.
