Sobriety Checkpoints Every Weekend in April

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Police Department is taking an extra step to keep motorists safe this April. JPD’s Alcohol Countermeasures Team will be performing Sobriety Checkpoints and increased DUI enforcement throughout the city every weekend this month. During these Sobriety Checkpoints and increased DUI enforcement, officers will concentrate their efforts on removing impaired drivers from the roadways before they can cause any unnecessary injuries or deaths. Non-compliance with the safety belt and child restraint laws will be vigorously enforced as well. This project funded solely by the Tennessee Governor’s Highway Safety Office.
