New Jackson Christian President Named

JACKSON, Tenn. — Dr. Mark Benton has been selected to serve as the eighth president of Jackson Christian School. He will begin as President on June 1. Dr. Benton currently serves the school as director of academics and missions. “Dr. Benton is passionate about cultivating a Christ-centered educational environment that produces students with an unequivocally strong academic and spiritual foundation,” Jackson Christian Board Chairman Jason Rudd said. “He has a deep love for those we serve. We are confident that he is the leader for the next chapter of our school.” Before coming to Jackson Christian in 2009, Benton served as headmaster of Harding Academy in Searcy, Ark. for 10 years. Benton received his Doctorate of Education in educational leadership from Oral Roberts University in 2008. Additionally, he holds a Master of Science in education and a bachelor‘s degree from Harding University in Searcy, Ark.
