Police Investigate Armed Robbery at Family Dollar

WEST JACKSON — Jackson police are investigating an armed robbery at Family Dollar. Shortly before 9 p.m. Wednesday, police were called to Family Dollar at 1011 Old Hickory Boulevard. Two suspects entered the store and demanded money. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun and fired a shot inside the store, but no one was struck. An employee complied with demands and opened the register. The suspects took money and fled on foot. The suspects appeared to be black men. They wore clothing and masks concealing any other identifying characteristics.
