Armed Robbery Reported in South Jackson Convenience Store

SOUTH JACKSON — Jackson police are investigating an early morning convenience store armed robbery. At 1 a.m. Wednesday, officers were called to the BP at 1353 S. Highland Ave. An employee told officers that a man entered the store and demanded money. The clerk complied with his demands. The robber took cash and two packs of cigarettes, and then fled the store in an unknown direction. The robber was described as a white man, 5’7″ to 5′ 9″, thin build, clean-shaven and in his 20s. He was wearing a blue hoodie with the hood over his head, blue jeans and was carrying a white plastic bag.
