DNA Evidence Responsible for Catching Burglar, Police Say

HENDERSON, Tenn. — Police say DNA evidence is the reason the man responsible for a 2013 Henderson burglary is now facing charges. Police say on June 8, 2013, Martinez Warren, 37, burglarized Dee‘s Discount Drugs in Henderson. On Thursday, Martinez Warren was arrested after the state crime lab returned their report indicating blood left at the scene of the burglary matched Warren’s DNA profile. Surveillance video was released of the suspect busting out a glass window with an ax and climbing through the opening. The suspect suffered a cut on the glass and left behind blood at the scene. Warren is being charged with Burglary, Vandalism between $1,000.00 – $10,000.00 and Theft of Property between $500.00 – $1,000.00.
