JEA Cuts Contractors, Adds Full-Time Positions

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A recent decision made by Jackson Energy Authority will bring jobs to Jackson. According to Steve Bowers with JEA, 10 jobs will be added after the decision to cut contractors for telecommunications positions was made. These contractors were the people who would come to connect cable, internet and other services. The transition should be finished by July or August. Bowers said the decision was made to better improve quality of work and to better represent the company. Those interested can apply for these jobs at jaxenergy.com
