Health Department Says Nursing Home Still Cannot Accept New Patients

DYERSBURG, Tenn. — A local nursing home has not been cleared to accept new patients after those rights were temporarily suspended by the state in March. Admissions to Oakwood Community Living Center were suspended due to violations of nursing services, and are still not cleared almost two months later. An official from the Tennessee Health Department told WBBJ the violations have not been corrected or approved by the state as of yet. The facility is still open, but is not able to accept new residents.
