Coworkers Organizing Benefit to Help Detective Who Lost Wife

CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn. — The Crockett County Sheriff’s Department has banded together to raise funds for the family of a detective who recently lost his wife in a tragic car accident. Coworkers of Detective Allan Gilliland are selling tickets for chicken halves, and the proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to the Misty Young Gilliland Memorial Fund. Misty was killed in a car accident on May 21 near the Madison and Crockett County line. Tickets are $6, and sheriff‘s department employees will be selling them until June 16 at noon. The event will be held on June 21. Chicken halves will be ready for pick up at Pete’s Muffler Shop 172 N Bells St. Alamo, TN. 38001.
