Middle Tennessee Man Charged with Statutory Rape of Teen

JACKSON, Tenn. — A Middle Tennessee man has been arrested and charged after having sex with a then 15-year-old Pinson girl. On May 4, a Pinson mother called the Madison County Sheriff’s Office after learning her daughter spent the night with Cody Dunn, 26. Jackson police investigators learned that Dunn was an acquaintance of the girl who she had met in Cookeville. On April 25 and May 3, Dunn came to Jackson and rented rooms at the Quality Inn. On both nights, the girl spent the night with Dunn, and police say the pair had sex. On Thursday, after learning Dunn was back at the Quality Inn, the U. S. Marshals Task Force arrived to the hotel and arrested Dunn. Dunn was arraigned at 8 a.m. Friday in Jackson City Court on two counts of aggravated statutory rape. Dunn’s bond was set at $25,000, and his next scheduled court appearance is June 19 at 9:30 a.m. in City Court.
