TBI to investigate Woolfork sex tape

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — The Jackson District Attorney and Chief of Police requested on Tuesday the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation take over an investigation into a sex tape featuring former Madison County Sheriff David Woolfork. Jerry Woodall and Gil Kendrick met on Tuesday and came to the decision that an independent agency such as the TBI should peruse the investigation. Woodall also recused himself from this case, if there is one. Woolfork and his attorney Mark Donahoe formally requested on Monday that Deputy Sharon Sangster and Constable Frankie Lax be investigated because they believe the pair allowed the sex tape to be seen by others. Woolfork says the tape was taken without his knowledge.
