Theus’ Condition Upgraded to Serious

JACKSON,Tenn.- James Theus Junior, the Good Samaritan critically injured last week as he helped a stranded stranger has been upgraded from from critical to serious condition. Police told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News a driver following too closely did not have time to stop when the car in front of it changed lanes. It hit the back of the stranded car, pinning Theus. His family said he is trying to open his eyes despite being heavily sedated. His left leg has already been amputated and he is facing more surgery, Tuesday.
