Chattanooga extends Wade’s deal through 2018-19

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) – Chattanooga has extended the contract of men’s basketball coach Will Wade through the 2018-19 season after a strong debut season.
Athletic director David Blackburn announced the extension Tuesday, saying Wade exceeded expectations in his first season. Financial terms of the deal were not immediately released.
The Mocs went 18-15 under Wade, including a 12-4 record in the Southern Conference. The 18 wins are the most by the program since 2008-09 with the 12 league wins the highest since 2010-11.
Wade was named the Southern Conference coach of the year, and Chattanooga led the league in attendance.
