Men charged with soliciting minors in Muse Park

JACKSON, Tenn. — A two day police operation in East Jackson at Muse Park leaves two men in jail. An undercover officer posed as a boy under the age of 18. “I think there should be cameras, more surveillance, police surveillance out here,” resident Sonda Luttrell said. The Jackson Police Dept., Madison County Sheriff’s Office, and Martin Police Dept. looked into the situation after people complained about adults in the park soliciting minors for sex. Jackson Police said on Thursday an undercover officer was approached by Troy Brooks who asked the officer for sex and made plans for them to meet at Brooks’ home, where he was taken into custody. Then on Friday, Tracy Morton approached the officer and plans were made for them to meet at another location, which is where they arrested him. “I just think that justice, I wish justice would be served and more surveillance out here, maybe even cameras,” Luttrell explained. Brooks and Morton were both set with a $15,000 bond Saturday morning and will appear in court Monday. According to their website, Morton is a Coordinator for Veterans Affairs at Jackson State Community College.
