Theft suspect sought, accused of stealing from hospital patient’s room

JACKSON, Tenn.-Jackson police are looking for a suspect, accused of stealing from a patient’s room at a Jackson hospital. Investigators said a patient at Regional Hospital reported that a man came in to her room, Thursday saying he had the wrong room. The vicitim then said the man started going through cabinets and her personal things. She told police the man then left, but not before stealing her wallet with credit cards, cash and her driver’s license. Police said later they discovered the man entered two other hospital rooms. Investigators said the description given by the victim led them to a shoplifting suspect from the Kroger store on Stonebrook Place from earlier that day. They believe he was the same one in the hospital theft case. If you have information in either cases, call Jackson Police at (731) 425-8400 or Crime Stoppers at (731) 424-TIPS (8477).
