Arrest made in Henry Co. homicide of elderly man

HENRY COUNTY, Tenn. — A man has been arrested in the death of an elderly man found last week in Henry County, according to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office. Toby Carter, 37, was arrested late Friday and charged with first-degree murder and aggravated kidnapping in the death of Bobby Dozier. Investigators said they were able to link DNA evidence from the crime scene to Carter. Deputies found the body of Dozier, 80, Sept. 16 on Olde Tennessee Trail in Henry County. Carter is being held in the Henry County Jail on $1 million bond and is scheduled to appear in court 9 a.m. Tuesday.
