TIPTON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Tipton County man charged with homicide in the death of his wife stood before a judge Tuesday afternoon. Dwight M. Alston turned himself in to the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office earlier this week. The TBI was investigating the death of Alston’s wife, 51-year-old Johnnie Patricia Alston, who was found dead in her home on Andy Drive. On Sept. 20, Alston’s son called 911 to report his parents were arguing and that he had heard a gunshot. Alston’s bond is set at $250,000. He is scheduled to appear Oct. 24 for his next hearing.
