Woman accused of using brass knuckles in fight

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A woman is officially charged with aggravated assault after she is accused of using brass knuckles in a fight at a Jackson apartment, according to court documents. Erica Lynn Patrick and another woman had an altercation in the early morning hours of Sept.14 at an apartment on Daughtery Street, the report states. A witness said Patrick reached into her purse and retrieved a shiny silver object that appeared to be brass knuckles. Patrick then struck the other woman in the face several times, resulting in facial fractures and loose bone fragments behind the victim’s eyes, according to the report. Patrick is being held on $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at 1:30 p.m. Oct 20 for her preliminary hearing.
