Construction on track for new Union University library

WEST JACKSON — Construction on a new library for Union University is reportedly “coming along” as the project’s completion date nears the one-year mark. All efforts are currently on schedule and the building’s foundation work 95-percent complete, according to school sources. Throughout the next several weeks, the new library’s steel work and frame work will begin. The 54,000-square-foot facility was made possible in part by a $10 million gift by the Bill and Carol Latimer Charitable Foundation. The project is set to be complete in October 2015.
