Fans turn out for Pumpkin Field Day in Jackson

WEST JACKSON — Pumpkin farmers and fans alike took part in the seventh annual Pumpkin Field Day at the UT agResearch and Education Center in Jackson. Visitors were presented with the largest pumpkin display in the state, comprising some 5,000 pumpkins, gourds and winter squash. The display will be open till the end of November. Attractions Thursday included corn mazes for kids, grower discussions and grounds walkabouts. Seventy varieties of pumpkins are on display.
