JCS semi annual consignment sale runs through Monday

NORTH JACKSON, Tenn. — Shoppers looking for a deal filled Jackson Christian’s gymnasium this weekend. JCS is hosting its semi annual consignment sale this weekend. Organizers say they’ve seen nearly 4,000 people since Friday night. According to the director of the sale, workers and consignors raised more than $60,000 Friday night alone. As of Sunday the director says they’ve raised nearly $100,000. Director of the JCS consignment sale, Gail Forbis, wants people to come out and take advantage of the good deals. “Come and shop tomorrow for our half price sale from one to four it’s everything that has a discount marked on it is 50 percent off and then of course dollar day is on Monday starting at 9 o’clock in the morning until 4 o’clock in the afternoon,” Forbis said on Saturday. Forbis said 40 percent of the money raised will go towards JCS and the other 60 will go back to the consignors. She says she thinks they will break the 2008 school record of $125,000 dollars raised this year. They plan to donate all leftover items to local charities.
