DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man is facing domestic abuse and vandalism charges after officers say he ripped apart his mother’s Bible. Louis Albert Wilbourn appeared Friday morning in Jackson City Court. His mother told officers her son ransacked her bedroom Wednesday, destroying her Bible by tearing its pages and cover. The suspect said he did not remember tearing up the Bible, but said if he did, he “must have been looking for the devil,” according to court documents. Wilbourn is being held on $20,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 13 for a preliminary hearing.
