DOWNTOWN JACKSON — The Jackson Beer Board says no to a beer license for a new club in west Jackson. Rodrigo Rayas asked the board to allow his La Roka Club Latino to sell beer, but it was denied by a vote of 2-to-1. One of the reasons given was a lack of parking in the Heritage Square complex to accommodate the business. Rayas said without the license they will not open and will consider re-applying at another time.
