Jackson police ID victim in deadly Monday shooting

NORTH JACKSON — Police have identified the victim in a deadly Monday night shooting in North Jackson. Donna Green, 58, was was found dead inside her Cross Brook Cove home from an apparent gunshot wound, according to a release from the Jackson Police Department. A preliminary investigation has revealed the woman was shot by her husband, and at this time police have no reason to believe the shooting was intentional, according to the release. The husband has been cooperative, and police are not releasing the man’s name because no charges have been filed, the release states. The investigation is ongoing, and the findings will be presented to the district attorney for review. Police were called to the home just before 6 p.m. Monday for the reported shooting.
