Man accused of robbery during drug deal to see grand jury

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — An accused drug dealer police say robbed one of his customers of his wallet and car had his case sent to the grand jury Thursday. Darkis Watkins returned to Jackson City Court for his preliminary hearing. After testimony, the judge said there is enough evidence for a grand jury to hear the evidence. He faces counts of robbery, aggravated kidnapping and felony theft in the Aug. 24 incident at an apartment on Airways Boulevard. Watkins also faces unrelated driving charges.
